The One-Minute Audio Check Before A Call Of Duty Match

A short pre-match check for Call of Duty: confirm your output, clear duplicate effects, then listen for three cues before you queue.

The whole Call of Duty sound check should take less time than
loading a map. Run it once, without fiddling, and you can queue knowing nothing is
fighting your ears.

Check Your Output

Start by making sure the match audio is coming out of PullzeAudio
Tune
, then open Home > Engine and select the headset actually on your
head. A wrong output device explains most odd-sounding evenings.

Turn Off Duplicate Effects

Headset software that layers on surround, bass boost or its own EQ should be
switched off while the tune is running. Two stages of processing means you never
know which one you are hearing.

Listen For Three Cues

Warmup is the moment to test three sounds: doors, reloads and footsteps. When all
three arrive easily, stop adjusting and take the queue.
